Redwood County EMS Association brings Rescue 911 to the Redwood County Fair.

About once a year, the Redwood County EMS Association sponsors a drill to help our area emergency services train.  When people train together, they are able to work together better when called on to do so.  This drill helps our services keep up with new technology and  tools available to them.  There have been many advances lately in the patient care our local services can bring to our patients.  With new equipment, training, Advanced Life Support, and now North Air-Care stationed in Redwood Falls, patients can receive critical life support care much quicker then has ever been possible before.

When the Redwood County Fair Board asked the Redwood County EMS Association to help them with a "Safe and Sober" demonstration at the Redwood County Fair, our group jumped on the chance.  Not only is this a great chance for our area services to train together, it is also part of our responsibility to educate the public.  With a theme of Safe and Sober driving, we should be able to show everyone our capabilities, train the public about the aspects of drinking and driving decisions, as well as let them see our dedicated members in action.

On Saturday, August 18th, at 1:30 pm, the Redwood County EMS Association will sponsor a live demonstration at the Redwood County fair grounds grandstand.  Several of our area emergency services agencies will be involved in this live drill.  This drill would be a great opportunity to see for yourself the real life Rescue 911 our dedicated members perform on a daily basis.  With it's "Safe and Sober" theme, teens through adults should find it an interesting demonstration.
